A place to train with the aim of breaking into the world of racquet, but also to grow and try to use tennis as a means to open other roads.
Like that of the colleges in the United States, the ideal place to continue your studies without neglecting your tennis activity.
For this long time the Tennis Center Center has entered into a partnership with TS College Tennis, an agency that assists players able for sporting merits to obtain a scholarship for American universities. And the fruits of the partnership can be seen, as soon from the structure of Bordighera will pack both the Slovenian Tara Milic and Daniel Botti, destination United States.
"We are happy with this collaboration - explains Luigi Bertino, director of the Tennis Center Center because the college road is very valuable for all those good guys who choose to embark on an academic path alongside the tennis one. It is one of the opportunities that we recommend to our athletes, and also guarantees a further end to our daily work. Because not all aspiring tennis players will succeed in their goal, but those who do not succeed will still have built a level of play to earn a scholarship in the most important colleges. A very good alternative".
This is demonstrated by the example of Tara Milic, in Bordighera for almost two years and launched towards the new experience.
He just signed with Purdue University, and next August he will fly to West Lafayette (Indiana) with a scholarship worth $40,000 a year that will cover his entire university career. A result achieved with constancy and determination.
"I like to play tennis and I like to study - says the 18-year-old Slovenian - so I have always considered this option. But I never really evaluated it until Davide Botti (head of TS College Tennis, ed.) introduced me to the various opportunities. I was assisted in every way - he continues -, from the first contacts with the coaches of different colleges up to the delicate moment of choice. All the staff of the Piatti Tennis Center supported my decision. I will study business and go to live my dream".
Daniele Botti will leave in January, Kennesaw State University, north of Atlanta, Georgia.
"TS Tennis College - he says - helped me a lot from a bureaucratic point of view, while the Tennis Center Center as fundamental to my tennis path. I improved a lot and the good results I obtained allowed me to access an excellent college. I will be able to study and continue to play at a high level, which in Italy would have been more complicated. I expect many opportunities for personal enrichment, a good school career and the opportunity to achieve good results on the field, for my team".
After almost a year and a half of work in Bordighera you can rest easy: the basis for doing well has it.
